ST. CROIX, U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS – The Saint Patrick’s Day Parade is set to bring excitement to Downtown Christiansted on Saturday, March 15, 2025. Vendors who wish to participate are required to complete a fire safety inspection before setting up. The Virgin Islands Fire and Emergency Medical Services (VIFEMS) is dedicated to ensuring a safe event for all, and compliance with the fire safety inspection process is essential for participation.
Registration Deadline: Thursday, March 13, 2025
All vendor applications must be submitted no later than Thursday, March 13, 2025. Late submissions will not be accepted, as they do not allow enough time for the VIFEMS Prevention Team to schedule and complete the required inspections in time for the parade.
Here’s What You Need to Do:
1. Pick Up and Submit the Special Event Inspection Application Form:
• Forms are available at the VIFEMS Administrative Office on St. Croix.
• Complete and return the form with the $50.00 application fee.
2. Prepare for Your Inspection:
• Once your application is processed, the VIFEMS Prevention Team will schedule a visit with you to conduct a safety assessment at your designated location along the parade route.
• To pass the inspection and receive approval:
• Vendors cooking on-site must have a tagged fire extinguisher.
• Vendors using deep fryers are required to have a Class K fire extinguisher.
• All gas tanks will be inspected to ensure compliance.
Plan ahead, meet the safety requirements, and help ensure a fun and safe parade for all.
