Fire Prevention Week Motorcade – St. Croix Public Notice

ST. CROIX, U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS – The Virgin Islands Fire and Emergency Medical Services (VIFEMS) wishes to inform residents that on Wednesday, October 8, at 6:00 p.m., a Fire Prevention Week motorcade will travel from the Herbert L. Canegata Fire Station in Christiansted to the Emile Henderson Sr. Fire Station in Frederiksted and return to Christiansted. This event is part of St. Croix’s week-long Fire Prevention Week celebrations.

The public is advised that sirens, horns, and lights will be activated on the emergency vehicles during the motorcade. This is a celebratory event, not an emergency — there is no need to be alarmed.

VIFEMS encourages all residents to observe safely and join in celebrating Fire Prevention Week 2025, which highlights the importance of buying and charging lithium-ion batteries safely.
